Guidelines for Submission

Story Format: |
Non-fiction, first-person, 1,000 words or less, typed in Times New Roman, 12 point, 1.5 line spacing using no pre-defined styles in a standard word-processing file format ( .doc, .wps, .wpd, .txt).
Save your file using your lastname,firstname as the title, eg: Doe,Jane.doc (For multiple submissions, save subsequent files with sequential numeric append, eg: Doe,Jane2.doc)

Include: |
Please preface your story document with the following :
1) your full name, address, phone & fax (if applicable)
2) your e-mail address
3) the date your material was written
4) any reprint information if previously published
5) approximately 50-words of bio
No anonymous or author unknown submissions are accepted. |
Deadline: |
Submissions will be accepted through April 18, 2008. Please don't procrastinate, we'd like material as early as possible. |
Reprints: |
Previously published material is welcome as long as you retained all rights to the material. Multiple submissions are accepted. |
Compensation: |
$200 per story published $100 per political cartoon, $50 per poem. Payable upon publication. Publication date: July 2008 |
Rights we need: |
Non-exclusive, world, all languages. You must be the copyright holder of the material and control the rights being granted. |
Notification & Agreements: |
By May 1, 2008, writers whose material is being considered for publication will be notified.
A publishing agreement requiring your signature will be sent at that time. In addition, the signature of subjects mentioned in the story may be required.
Publication is contingent upon signed agreements being returned to the publisher. |
